Capacity Building: Workshop for Artists and Entertainment Industry Professionals in Cameroon

The Association of Cameroon Female and Male Musicians of Integrity (ACAFEMMI) will be organizing a Capacity Building Workshop for Artists and Entertainment Industry Professionals in Cameroon under the Theme: Understanding Music Publishing, Royalties & Digital Distribution slated for Friday the 26th April 2019 at Cameroon Cultural Center in Yaoundé. From ( 9AM to 2 PM)  

The training will directly benefit 200 participants and will be concluded with a short exhibition concert, same day, as from 6:00 PM.

The Association of Cameroon Female and Male Musicians of Integrity ( ACAFEMMI) is an initiative that unites Cameroonian musicians most of who work in the informal sector, to work in cooperative to foster their careers, gain sustainability and contribute to revive the music industry in Cameroon.

Cameroon has a very rich cultural diversity and demand for local content is on the rise. However artists keep facing several challenges that prevent them from making maximum potential of their talents, especially as concerns publishing, royalties, digital distribution and intellectual property rights in general, which are potentially a huge source of income and protection.

Through this project, we aim to provide artists with all the adequate information, resources and support they need as concerns protection and generation of intellectual property revenue from their works as well as using new technologies to maximize their reach and returns.
