On this weeks Alumni spotlight series 

Dr. Denise Movuh Sam is an HIV Care and Treatment Physician, Public health Specialist, and Project Manager with over three years experience in implementing HIV projects in the Center and South West Regions of Cameroon. He is a graduate of the sixth batch of MDs from FHS/UB, with a Post Graduate Certificate of Project Management in Global Health from the University of Washington. He is  currently doing an MPH program by distance learning at the University of Edinburgh.

Since joining in 2018, Dr Denise has served the Cameroon Baptist Convention Health Services (CBCHS) HIV Free Projects in different capacities in the South West and Center Regions. This includes being a Supervisor, Clinical Mentor, Care, and Treatment Focal point, and currently the Site Team Manager at the Buea Regional Hospital. Dr Denise has also served as a training facilitator, capacitating hundreds of Physicians and Nurses at Regional and National levels in the Management of HIV-infected individuals.He has also been involved in several supportive supervision and mentorship of Health facilities around the South West and Center Regions of Cameroon.

As Site Team manager, He heads a team of Project staff at the Buea Regional Hospital, providing both Technical support and direct service delivery in HIV care and treatment. Futhermore, he coordinates HIV case finding and linkage activities both at the facility and networking with other health facilities around the Buea Health District.

In 2020 He was awarded the Commonwealth Distance earning cholarship to study for an MPH at the Universityof Ednburgh where He is currently studying part-time.Dr Denise is alsoa member of the Research and Evaluation Committee of the CBCHS and one of the Site Coordinators of the CHS ite for he Project anagemet in Globalhealth course offered by the University of Washington.
