Boy Cheez has stepped into the spotlight with the release of his maiden song under Vortex Music.
Titled
“Laisse ça,” the uptempo song merges
eclectic sounds and punchlines to produce an appealing danceable Afrotrap tune.
Produced by Twop Negger, it is a thematic double-edged sword in which the
artist admires a lady in the club and chronicles the long road he has travelled
so far.
A
party for the official release of the video took place at the OG Night Club in Yaoundé.
Directed by NS Pictures, the video stays true to the fun, party and dance
dispositions of the track. It features a swimming pool and club scenes where
Boy Cheez plays a cigar-smoking boss poolside before later donning urban wear
in the club.
It
is worth noting that this is the artist’s maiden release under Vortex Music,
which is a record label he created in March 2016. In the wider scheme of things,
it symbolizes the 30 year old’s attempt to redefine himself in an ever-changing
musical environment where only the creative survive.
