ABOUT THE AYINUI MOVIE PREMIER ORGANIZED BY THE E_MEDIA_EMPIRE_TEAM AT GUIKO PALACE HOTEL. SCORES: 77% SUCCESSFUL!
Our first observation and duty is always to appreciate and encourage anyone who is determine to undertake any initiative aimed at bringing people together to share or sell common ideas. Narrowing down this observation, we landed as case study, in a movie premier, directed, shoot and organised by one of the most vibrant team, offering audiovisual services in their company around Cameroon, based in Yaounde, the E Media Empire.
This team, comprising of supporters all over the country and the most vibrant young uprising actors, Artists, video directors, photographers, models, etc, has shown out to the world the strength of their determination, unity and the need of working together.
Now, not really analysising the event in details because of my late arrival at the venue, but I observed a greater part of it, including asking questions from some time keepers. I only missed the red carpet, some few invited artists and comedians who performed before my arrival. Indeed, I still gotten a lot. Below, are my observations, the pros and the crons of the event as usually done.
The Pros of the Event:
The choice of the location of this event, a location rarely used by event organizers around Yaounde, surly gave an impression to the invitees on how classic the event was going to be and in turn, drew a lot of attention from those who have been attending events around Yaounde, but never in such a venue, to come and witness for the first time how it was.
The team played their out most best in drawing a mammoth crowd to this event. The hall was full, approximately 200 and above population with everyone looking cool and beautiful. It was indeed, a classic event. There were enough drinks and chewables, everyone was satisfied at this domain.
The famous Carisma Esther Patrick Adedamola who is one of the most competent red carpet host around Yaounde and Cameroon in general, mc and CEO of Be Your Own Model(BYOM tv), did her out most best in chilling and keeping the event alive through her tactics, especially her comics.
Major directors, film producers, editors, actors, etc, around Cameroon Attended the event, including the director of "Bad Angel" #Tanko_Francoise the famous and the Canal D'or best award winning series film aired on ctv and major channels around the world, was also present. Mr Akuro Raphael, Lt Ltnjeck Njeck, etc, were all present at this movie premier.
The casting of this film is one of the main point of focus. For close to the 30minutes projection of the film, I almost thought I was watching those old Nigerian films that we use to watch and cry. It was emotional, every single character who appeared on this film judging from the few minutes that it was projected, gave out their best of competence. In fact Balon Joseph, Bankz Bantar, Akum Angel, #Mbuye_GodLovr, The Drunk and Funi Dieudonne, some of the cast, were just best.
The event was also thrilled by great comedians and musicians through their amazing performances. A total of about 8 artists including the famous Chris Will, DJ Praudo and Shiperi along some few comedians, watered the faces of the invitees with very well appreciable smiles.
This is actually one of the first event that I saw a lot of "farrotage" especially to those who performed and support to the movie. Most of those who performed will testify that they went home with cash. A good number of people bought the CDs. It was much encouragement and support, and to those who love and promote culture, your can reach out your support through the following numbers.
The sound system of the speakers was great.
Last, but not the least, the E Media Empire team was so, so organized, each trying to suit into their areas of duty to avoid lapses. The show ended in a very calm atmosphere, at exactly 1:01am in the morning.
I personally grade this show 79%/100 Successful.
The cons of the show:
As a phenomenon, it's only left for the Cameroon parliament to sign the legalisation of the late start of events in Cameroon. I came late and I founded out the event started late.
Secondly, this event was a film premier and all invitees were there for this very purpose. Contrary, most invitees expressed dissatisfaction and some even left the hall as per the late projection of the film. According to my findings from one of the team members, their excuse was that, those on the high table came late. Also, the laptop they had, couldn't project the film, so they had to use a laptop from one of the invitees. I was observing all these.
I entered the hall at exactly, 9:12pm and the film was projected at exactly 11: 04pm. Organizing an event is stressful, but event organizers should always take care of the major things and indeed, the projection of this film was the major. Some people left with support in their pockets because of such happenings.
Also, the hall was not really cinematic, there were pillars blocking invitees to actually see different performances and the projection of the film. The film was projected in a particular corner and everyone had to move to the one side of the hall, though most didn't even get it.
There was actually a little distraction from the invitees, most who keep moving in and out of the hall rampantly. The entrance to the hall was very tidy though most appreciated the choice of the location. One could easily fall going down the steps.
The main organizer of this event is a very calm and classic person, Mr Wir Kom Emmanuel. At times he's too much classicness in front of people maybe in such an event, a fault as some may see. I heard one person wispered. Though, not too relevant in an event as such, this goes to event organizers, create strategies to always keep your invitees smiling, either by getting an mc who have such qualities. Just like what Esther was doing, but wasn't enough. You can actually make your event looks very classic and lifely by your own actions.
Apart of these few personal observations, I think this event was one of a kind.
